Are you a family of Explorers?

Do you all have a taste for adventure, a passion for travel and a desire to explore the world? Yes to all three? Then we’ve got the perfect family holidays for you. Our new Explorers trips are designed with adventurous families in mind, taking in exciting destinations that rank high in exploration –serving as a taster for gap year trips, or providing a way for seasoned-traveller parents to dust off their old backpacks to share the wonders of the world with the kids in tow.

On an Explorers holiday there’s no need to worry about transfers, flights or finding accommodation as we do all the hard work, giving you more time to enjoy as a family. The intrepid nature of these holidays means they’re well-suited for older children, who can fully appreciate getting to know new cultures and foods. What better way to create memories that truly stand the test of time than with a last big holiday as a family? Here’s a look at some of our top Explorers trips.

Trek the Inca Trail

Whether it’s an intro trip to prepare for a solo gap year, or a destination you’ve always wanted to visit, trekking the Inca Trail as a family is guaranteed to give you memories to treasure. See the lost citadel of Machu Picchu, spend four days trekking, go mountain biking in the Sacred Valley and stay overnight in a traditional mountain village.

Explore South East Asia

A trio of countries make our Saigon to Bangkok Explorer trip an action-packed adventure, travelling between Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. On this holiday you’ll get to compare the contrasts of this vibrant part of the world, from its buzzing cities to tropical beaches and limestone cliffs. Highlights include the Cu Chi Tunnels, Mekong Delta markets and Angkor Wat.

Try safari and swimming

This is a trip for wildlife lovers, spending time in Kruger National Park and Mlilwane, seeking out the Big Five and African game. An integral part of this adventure is the accommodation, staying in traditional African beehive huts and safari lodges. 12 days means plenty of time for safari, with the end part of your holiday spent on the Indian Ocean coast with snorkelling and whale watching.
